Privacy Policy — Sugar Intake Tracker

The short version

Sugar Intake Tracker is built so that we hold as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts or sign-ups on this site, and every tool runs entirely in your browser. The Sugar Intake Tracker app keeps its log on your device and is covered by its own in-app privacy notice.

1. Who we are

Sugar Intake Tracker ("we", "us") operates the website at sugarintaketracker.com. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@sugarintaketracker.com.

2. Data you enter into the tools

Everything you type or tap into the tools — food entries, grams, limits, streaks, quiz answers — is processed locally in your browser and stored, where a tool offers persistence, in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data:

is never transmitted to our servers;
is not visible to us or to anyone else;
is deleted when you clear your browser's site data (and we cannot recover it — use the printable log if you want a paper backup).

3. Data collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — as any web host does, for security and delivery. These logs are handled under our host's data-processing terms and are not used by us to identify individuals.

We currently run no advertising trackers and set no advertising cookies. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in the future (page-view counts, not personal profiles), this policy will be updated first.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage solely to keep tool settings and logs (like the streak tracker) on your device between visits. We do not use tracking cookies.

5. Email

If you email support@sugarintaketracker.com, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. We don't add you to any mailing list.

6. Children

The site is general-audience informational content and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The kids' sugar calculator is intended for use by parents and caregivers.

7. Your rights

Because your tracker data never reaches us, exercising your rights over it is direct: it's on your device, and you can view or erase it at any time via your browser's site-data settings. For anything involving email correspondence, contact us and we'll delete it on request.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes to what data we handle will be highlighted on this page.
